Our Roots
Crystal Coast Functional Medicine was founded by Dorie, a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 35 years in healthcare. Dorie has worked in various roles, in many different areas of nursing and medicine throughout her career. After seeing the gaps in the current healthcare system, she decided she needed to find a way to help people by finding the root cause of their health concerns and not just treating their symptoms with western medicine.
Our Philosophy
At Crystal Coast Functional Medicine, we believe that true health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of balance and harmony in body, mind, and spirit. We strive to address the root causes of our clients' health concerns, rather than just treating symptoms, and to empower them to take an active role in their own healing journey.
Our Goal
Along with Dorie is her daughter, Emily, who has 9 years in nursing. With a love for family and helping others, we have made it a mission to help those in our community enjoy life and those in it. We hope to educate and guide our patients on a wellness journey so they can be there for those they love for years to come.
